A specialist in in the behavioral aspect of an individual has gone through various trainings that helped them obtain experiences that helps them assess and cure people with physiological and empirical problems. These doctors were able to achieve their bachelor degree in medicine, and by the following years, they were given instructions about this field and served as a resident trainee. They have their licenses with them to certify that they can serve the public.

They are in charge of assessing, counseling, and treating children and adults experiencing developmental problems. A Developmental Pediatrician should gain knowledge about a wide range of disorders and school related learning problems. These professionals are responsible for evaluating a child with attention and behavioral issues such as anxiety and depression.

These specialists are to provide treatment to Tourette syndrome, Tics, and more habit problems, and treating regulatory disorders such as sleeping disorder is also part of their job. These people are assigned in providing medication to patients experiencing developmental disabilities such as autism or cerebral palsy. They are tasked to help people with slow development of their motor, language, and speech skills, and comprehensive capabilities.

These pediatricians are accessible in community and rehabilitation centers, schools, private establishments, clinics, established medical facilities, and hospitals. These professionals are usually asked to work in groups. Their group may include a social worker, diagnostician, physician assistant, nurse, child psychiatrist and neurologist, specialist in neurodevelopment disabilities, physical and occupational therapists, language speech pathologist, and psychologist. Their role is to work in close relations with schools, families, and parents of a child with developmental and behavioral issues.

Practitioners in this application are given two fields that might pique their interest, and these are the Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics and Neurodevelopment Disabilities, in which they are provided with similar yet different skill sets. A DBP application gives more emphasis on a person social problem that includes gender crisis, family dysfunction, and school phobia. The exam specially designed for this field is only given to surgeons who were able to obtain their board certification.

The Neurodevelopment Disabilities emphasizes on the medication of neurodevelopment issues and on the utilization of neuroscience. The subspecialty examinations are available to both child neurologists and pediatricians, and a NDD specialist is a person who attained their board certification. They can also overlook neurological examinations wherein interpreting the results follows.

After the result has been read, they can now provide treatments to a patient and command the therapeutic assessment of their empirical issues. They are asked to design a strategy that reduces the danger an individual is presented due to their problems. The features of this application involve the efficient collection of data from different sources and execute a follow up sessions that could be effective in assisting a person address their disability.

They differ from psychologist because these pediatricians do not handle IQ and other educational testing. A psychiatrist differs from these professionals, since they do not focus on the emotional aspect of a patient, and not all psychiatrists are considered as a pediatrician. A neurologist is different from them, since they give medication to various neurological issues a patient is facing.

These specialists try to understand that a child behavior and development starts within the family that is why they would like to know the family view of the issues they are presented and methods of how they cope up with it. They serve as an advocate to the public by working attentively with educational facilities and agencies involved in this field. They provide the patient with an optimum result associated with prescriptions that could help them progress.
