Live Marketing Looked At By Online Marketing Companies

By Robbie Sutter

It's apparent that marketing today can be done in a number of different ways. There are some companies that will go about buying TV time for the sake of advertising products while others may start up their own networking pages for the sake of attracting more fans. However, what about actually going to various locations in the real world for the sake of greater marketing efforts, no matter what the products at hand might be? How are online marketing companies able to assess such efforts?

This idea came to my attention following the "Carrie" prank of sorts. It occurred in New York City within a small coffee shop and, with various props being constructed, a scene similar to what one would see in the movie played out in front of them. The idea of telekinesis being done in front of someone in the real world can more than stir some emotions. However, this has been rather effective, judging by how people have come to see it following its arrival on the Internet.

The video has been able to amass more than 25 million views, which is something that is hard for most other films to replicate. I think that individuals cannot help but to look at the way pranks are done before they are carried out. There is also that element of horror that many people enjoy, since that's the way that certain human conditioning operates. Perhaps horror could be a particular element able to come into effect within the many efforts made by online marketing companies.

It's not like this is the first case of live marketing, as online marketing companies would be able to tell you. When "The Simpsons Movie" released a number of years back, there were marketing efforts done alongside 7-Eleven stores. The fact that many of these stores transitioned into Kwik-E Marts for the sake of promotion is a great move and easily one of the most recognizable out there. Such efforts are supported by companies, involved in the field of networking, along the lines of fishbat.

I believe that marketing, if done properly, will be able to yield the utmost amount of results out there. Performances should be done more often if it is for the sake of promoting movies, as "Carrie" went to show. It played on a human emotion and it did it with such effectiveness that I do not think that most movies would be able to replicate. That is exactly what those who are looking to advertise should do and that particular example more than knocked it out of the park.
