When the international trade grew, a massive demand for ships and cargo increased too. Institutions specialized in technological dealings played a vital role by filling the gap that was formed as a result of demands. Large ships that were capable of carrying bulky cargo had to be built to carter for the problem of high demand. Technological and organizational works had to improve the management of the ports. It has also led to connection of different countries hence promoting the tourism sector which is mainly a key factor in the development of this countries.
