How Collaborative Technology Can Benefit The AS9100 Consultant Sector

By Timothy Bennett

Often the term collaborative technology is thrown around but little realize how they are used and what they are. But in the most simplified explanation possible. The term refers to the use of different technologies or an application that is specifically designed to help people achieve a specific goal. AS9100 consultant, for their specific work, can receive a lot of advantages from those technologies.

So the classroom has undergone a huge makeover consisting of whiteboards and interactive technological devices at the fingertips of the next generation. But what does this all mean for the person forking out the dollars that just keep on rising with each year like an app update? Well for starters it means that the best and newest teaching methods are available with immediate effect, but it also means that the use of collaborative technology has changed the way in which children learn.

For starters, children nowadays are no strangers to tablets and other technological devices that they probably use in their recreational times. But those same tablets can now be used to foster learning. For example, effective communication can be a result, this can be done through preprogrammed lectures or classes. Classes that allow for children to rewind if they don t understand and ensure that no student gets left behind.

Furthermore, a business and its employees can take advantage of tools that aid in the coordination of people, data and business operation. The use of online calendars which aid in the scheduling of events and meetings is a great tool for organizing people as is the client portal software that makes it possible for a business to interact with their clientele. These are some of the tools available at a businesses disposal in order to place it in an advantaged position.

Collaborative technology can also play a big role in subjects that are perceived to be less technical than others, allowing the kids to be more creative or better working together if a project or assignment deems so. Such technology is able to ensure that teachers are able to hold each individual student accountable for the work and effort they put into shared work but at the same time allow for teachable moments and improvements in working with others.

The sharing of information can be made even easier with people from far away distances based on a mutual understanding or love for the same interests. A great example of this is the availability of apps like discussion forums, message boards and instant messaging that allows for the facilitation and exchange of content. In a business environment, these apparatus can be used interchangeably with video conferencing software to make the working environment more efficient.

Lastly, collaborative technology has another function other than to communicate and allow for the sharing of information to be easier and that function is to facilitate a reconciliation of said data. It might sound technical but it simply means that activities that include or affect more than one person can be managed easier through the use of electronic calendars and workflow systems to make things easier.

The art of teaching will roughly stay unchanged but how it goes about being executed is up for debate. With more and more children growing up with technology it s only wise to integrate it into their curriculum.
