Methods Of Area Rug And Carpet Cleaning New York

By Jennifer Cole

Everyone loves clean environs, whether it is at home or the workplace. Carpets are part of these environs and they tend to get dirty and soiled as time goes by. The good news is that there is no need to worry when this happens. Carpet cleaning is usually done to enhance their appearance, remove stains, dirt and also any allergens using different cleaning compounds depending on the method chosen. The following are methods of area rug and carpet cleaning New York.

Hot water extraction. It is also referred to as the steam method. The process is made easy as high pressured hot water is used to dissolve all materials that had been collected by the fabric. A washing compound has to be used in this method. The compound is applied to the dirty surface using a brush and this process is not complete without the rinsing of the rug.

Shampooing is the most basic not forgetting the oldest method of cleansing. This technique entails applying a foamy chemical on the mat and scrubbing it using a mobile circular brush. This approach is usually used for carpets that are very dirty or rather heavily soiled carpets as it works wonders for them. This method is also quite economical and can be easily done comfortably at home.

Encapsulation process uses synthetic detergents as a base. They crystallize into powder when the rug dries. The powder is then vacuumed or brushed when the foam dries after the washing. This method uses less water during washing and hence takes less time to dry. The detergents used are often environmentally friendly.

There are also some methods that aim at the top surface of the dirty material. The bonnet method does exactly this. A cleaning compound is applied on the top followed by scrubbing from a round rotating machine usually called the rotating bonnet. In this method, the cleansing agent is usually deposited on the rotating pad. This enables it to easily absorb any foreign material that is present in the fabric.

The dry approach does not use any water. No one would love spending their time just waiting for their carpets to dry and this makes this technique the most preferable as the carpets dry very fast. During this process, a chemical compound is spread over the fabric and the chemical is usually absorbent. A machine brush is then passed through the carpet to ensure all dirt residues are eliminated from the mat.

Vacuum washing. It uses water by spraying it and later removing it by sucking it. This back and forth approach ensures effectiveness. It extracts the dirt from the mat. By immediately reabsorbing the water, the drying time is shortened. This method is suitable for different levels of washing. This is because it does not require cleansing products and leaves no detergent residue.

Going for a cleansing method that suits your budget is always advisable. Before choosing a method, it is always good to know the nature of the carpet. Always look for information from different sources but be careful about what sources you trust. Some people are just out there to make money.
