Easy Way In Creating A Mini Crape Myrtle

Bonsai making had been an art for and been practiced for millenniums in Japan. Today, this type of growth controlling had been considered as one of the best way to conserve trees. Nature lovers who does not posses big properties for trees always buy such for they are very convenient and does not eat big space. And since crape myrtle will grow bigger, many of the condominium owners are looking for mini crape myrtle for sale.

To starts, look for a healthy potted baby myrtle, be sure that it is good enough for a bonsai process and not too tender. If you already have it then gently remove it from the pot. Take good care of it that the stem and roots will not be detached. For if it will be, then the plant is no longer useful for the artwork and you will be wasting it.

Then you can now start removing the soil by using a strong spraying hose. This method is not just to remove the principal soil but also to soften those who cannot be removed by the flowing waters. For the remaining, use your hands to deal them and do it gently.

If you are already done, then you may proceed to the cutting. Go see the roots first, if you think the the root is too long or too thick, then use a knife. Cut the stem of the roots carefully and do assure that there is still enough roots for you to work on. Also cut the branches of the myrtle using a plant scissor to make it small enough for your taste.

Have a pot small enough for a bonsai and some sphagnum moss form its base. Put some amount of moss into the pot. And so, wrap then its roots with moss the place it in the pot. Hardly press it so that the water absorbed will be released. If the moss in the pot cannot hold the plant then add more sphagnum until it will not go sidewards.

If you do detest the performance of the moss then you can choose to purchase a bonsai soil. A mixture of stone and soil which is good for bonsai making because even if it is hardly pressed, the water can still flow because of the stones. Same process as you had with the sphagnum should done.

Bonsai trees are made to grow sidewards and not upwards. To do this, cut off the small branches of the baby tree that grow upwards and also cut the branches on the lower part for you to still have a tree like form of bonsai.

You are to use small rods to be rolled on the branches of the myrtle, the is to control their shaped while the tree is growing. The big rod will be used on the stem to control its height and direction of growth. It will also be used for you to create a pattern that will be used as guide during the cutting.
